The Photographers’ Gallery launches first partnership of its type with Brookfield Properties

In collaboration with The Photographers’ Gallery, Brookfield Properties has today announced the launch of a year-long rotating exhibition programme showcasing groundbreaking works from the Gallery’s represented artists. This is the first partnership of its kind for The Photographers’ Gallery.

Brookfield Properties X The Photographers’ Gallery is a curatorial collaboration that will see a series of four solo exhibitions held at Brookfield Properties’ Aldgate Tower, celebrating the works of selected international artists: Gohar Dashti, Daido Moriyama, Saïdou Dicko and Alma Haser.

Each solo exhibition will present a unique perspective on contemporary photography through a range of techniques from collage to striking three-dimensional pieces made through paper folding and mixed media. The framed artworks and artist statements explore themes including migration, contemporary culture, and multilingual upbringings.

The artists will rotate quarterly and will be free to the public from 09:00am to 18:00pm daily:

–            March-July 2025: Gohar Dashti’s (b. 1980, Iran) work explores the connection between nature, migration, and identity. Dashti views nature as the link to the diverse meanings of ‘home’ and ‘displacement,’ both as abstract concepts and tangible realities that shape our lives. For the most recent series, Dashti collaborates with Hamed Noori (b. 1979, Iran) on hand made photo-collage works that combine Iranian and American landscapes.

–            October-January 2026: Daido Moriyama (b. 1938, Japan) is best known for his black-and-white street photography and association with the avant-garde photography magazine Provoke. Moriyama’s grainy, blurry, and out-of-focus images capture the mysterious and unnoticed aspects of everyday life, redefining photographic conventions through constant reinvention and experimentation.

–            January-March 2026: Saïdou Dicko (b. 1979, Burkina Faso)is a self-taught visual artist whose work revolves around the theme of shadows, using photography, painting, video, and installations to explore concepts of light, contrast, and human experiences.

–            July-October 2026: Alma Haser (b. 1989, Germany) creates intricate and innovative portrait photography, blending paper-folding, collage, and mixed media to transform traditional images into captivating, multi-dimensional imagery that often reflect her bilingual upbringing and fascination with language.

Aldgate Tower provides an intimate setting for the artworks, featuring a central table displaying an assortment of books from The Photographers’ Gallery for visitors to enjoy and delve into. All exhibited artworks and books are for sale through the Gallery, with all proceeds supporting The Photographers’ Gallery public programme.

Brookfield Properties’ stakeholders and tenants will also be invited to private tours of The Photographers’ Gallery. These events expand upon the landlord’s comprehensive arts and events programme, Activated, designed to enhance tenant engagement through thoughtfully curated and unique experiences.

The partnership represents another significant milestone in Brookfield Properties’ ongoing efforts to enhance arts and culture within the City of London by supporting the work of emerging and diverse artists.

On the borders of Soho and Oxford Street in central London, The Photographers’ Gallery is the UK’s first public gallery dedicated to photography. Through a wide range of exhibitions, events and programmes the Gallery explores the beauty, complexity and future of photography. The Gallery is renowned for hosting the prestigious annual Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize and its Print Sales Gallery represents a roster of international photographers from established names to emerging talent.

Saff Williams, Curatorial Director at Brookfield Properties, said: “The Photographers’ Gallery is a seminal exhibition space showcasing talented photographers from emerging to established artists and from all corners of the globe. This new partnership enables us to bring this exceptional and inspiring photography into the City, enriching our community, sparking creativity, and offering tenants and visitors access to outstanding visual arts and processes. It will be a real joy to exhibit these four solo exhibitions at Aldgate Tower over the coming year.”

Shoair Mavlian director of The Photographers’ Gallery adds: “We’re delighted to be working with Brookfield Properties to showcase the work of these four talented photographers. This new partnership means we can expand beyond our gallery walls in Soho to reach more people in the city. We look forward to seeing how people respond to such a diverse range of photography in their workplace – we hope the Brookfield Properties community enjoys being surrounded by this inspiring work.”
